We are seeking a motivated and experienced Staff Specialist in Gastroenterology (Permanent, full-time, day-worker position working 76 hours per fortnight), who will work as part of the Department of Acute Medicine across the North West region.

The position involves the management of patients in:

• General Gastroenterology
• IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease)
• Chronic Liver Disease
• Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy

Experience in capsule endoscopy would be highly regarded. This position will be attractive to a highly skilled and motivated medical professional who views challenges as opportunities and is driven by a passion to improve healthcare in the complex world of modern health systems.

The successful candidate will provide specialist diagnosis, treatment, and care for public patients. They will offer a consultative service in Gastroenterology to other disciplines and both hospitals within the Department of Health – North West.

Remuneration:

The base salary points range for Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 is $163,005 to Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 11 at $228,206, with further salary increments available*. You will have access to a salary package offering a range of benefits, including living expenses up to $9,010, $2,650 for meal entertainment each FBT year, and other eligible benefits. Additionally, you will have access to accommodation and relocation costs.

Essential qualifications

• Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Pre Employment Conviction Checks.
