Opportunity for an Accredited Registrar currently in the AFRM training program to join John Flynn Private Hospital, located in Tugun, on the Southern end of the Gold Coast, Qld.

The Rehabilitation Registrar position will:

• Be well supported by 3 consultants in rehabilitation (FAFRM), all who have a keen interest in teaching.
• Be involved in the assessment and day to day management of adults requiring rehabilitation in both the inpatient hospital and the day hospital. The case mix is that of a generalist rehabilitation unit comprising mostly elderly patients with orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, conditions or general de-conditioning following complex medical or surgical illness.
• Participate in the weekly formal educational program provided for rehabilitation registrars at the hospital and have access to the QLD Registrar Training Program, the Bi-National Training Program, the AFRM Rural Sig Journal Club teleconference and the John Flynn Allied Health teaching program and Journal Club.

Essential qualifications

• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
• This position is funded by the STP program, and it is an essential requirement that appointees are on the AFRM training Program.
