• Salary - Total Indicative Remuneration - Classification - MDP2 - Medical Practitioner - $105,751 to $171,579 p.a (includes award salary, superannuation and any other monetary benefits)

• 6-month rotations to Paediatric Emergency Department, Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, MedSTAR Kids Retrieval About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for Paediatric Critical Care Registrar, where you'll be responsible for: 

• Managing emergency presentations and Extended Care Unit inpatients, including coordinating investigations, supervising junior medical officers, liaising with patients, families, and statutory authorities, and overseeing patient discharge
• Participating in departmental teaching, continuing education programs, and quality improvement activities under the supervision of senior clinicians
• Contributing to departmental research and audit projects 
• Participating in after-hours on-call rosters where applicable which is supported by the Consultants 

Essential qualifications

• Bachelor of Medicine
• Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) or equivalent
• Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration 
• Ability to work as an effective team member in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and/or high workloads
• Problem solving and decision-making skills (both clinical and individual)
