Foundation Lectureships and Orations
We invite respected medical leaders to give lectures and orations named after pioneers of specialist medicine in Australia and New Zealand.
These speakers are chosen for their important contributions to medicine, research, education or their specialty.
By delivering the address, they honour the legacy of those it’s named after and demonstrate its ongoing influence on contemporary medical practice and thought.
The Montgomery Spencer Memorial Lecture is RACP Aotearoa New Zealand’s only named paediatrics lecture, honouring Dr Frederick Montgomery Spencer’s lasting impact on children’s healthcare.
The Arthur E. Mills Oration honours a founding RACP Fellow and promotes medical education and the sharing of knowledge.
