Description

You'll contribute to the delivery of a Clinical Immunology and Allergy Service, working within the goals and values of the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).

Providing both inpatient and ambulatory care, you'll implement protocols for drug and food allergy testing, drug desensitisation, and venom immunotherapy.

You'll manage inpatient consultations alongside the Consultants, and while you're on ward duty, you'll be responsible for admitting and managing Clinical Immunology patients, including elective day admissions.

As part of your role, you'll also take part in research projects and help deliver the unit’s teaching program in areas of Clinical Immunology, as directed by Consultant staff and in line with RACP requirements.

Essential qualifications

Holding a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, you'll be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.

You'll need to be competent and confident in the management of anaphylaxis, and skilled in managing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Ambulatory Care Day Unit (ACDU).

Demonstrating the ability to work effectively and efficiently within a multidisciplinary team, you'll maintain a strong spirit of cooperation whilst retaining a primary focus on the provision of patient care.
