  • MDP-2 $89,253 - $144,291 p.a. + Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Benefits
  • Full-time temporary positions
  • Duration of the training program: 12 months starting 2 February 2026
  • 3-year contract (at the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3-year contract)

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Cardiology Advanced Trainee Registrar to join our dedicated cardiology unit. This exciting opportunity offers hands-on training in invasive cardiac procedures—including coronary angiography, angioplasty, and electrophysiology—while providing supervisory experience with junior medical staff.

The role is ideal for a trainee looking to strengthen their procedural skills and broaden their clinical experience in a high-acuity setting. In this position, you’ll play a key role in delivering expert cardiology care, acting as a primary contact for both internal and external enquiries.

Your responsibilities will span clinical duties, postgraduate education, and research, all supported by experienced Consultant staff. You'll contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, participate in hospital-wide academic activities, and be part of a team committed to clinical excellence and innovation.

Essential qualifications

You're a dedicated and collaborative medical professional who brings both clinical expertise and a commitment to ongoing improvement in cardiology care. You thrive in a team-focused environment and are passionate about delivering high-quality patient outcomes.

  • MBBS or equivalent and successful completion of FRACP Part I
  • Strong clinical skills in cardiology with experience in research and service delivery 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities across multidisciplinary settings 
  • Committed to quality improvement and adaptable to change in a dynamic environment

  • Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and compliant Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description.
