Alice Springs Hospital Department of Paediatrics welcomes applications for 2026 Paediatric Registrar positions. 6- and 12-month terms are available, with option to extend.
The Alice Springs Hospital Department of Paediatrics offers a unique opportunity in paediatric training, supporting trainees to experience the challenges and rewards of Rural/Remote and Indigenous child health. ASH is accredited for Advanced Training in General Paediatrics (Community/Developmental & Gen Paeds Rural with perinatal) and CCH training (non-core).
We have 2 role types:
- General Paediatric registrar (rotational roster of paediatric & neonatal ward service and clinics)
- Community/Outreach Paediatric Registrar (remote community outreach clinics, MDT developmental/behavioural, prem follow-up & OOHC clinics)

Essential qualifications
- RACP Advanced Trainees in Paediatrics & Child Health will be prioritised, but applications are also open to Basic Trainees (non- accredited or through WCH secondment) and experienced clinicians looking to up-skill in paediatrics.
