Fulltime 1 position

This position is predominantly a clinical position, with responsibility for seeing and managing breast cancer clinical trial patients. The applicant will gain significant experience in management of new drugs, early phase clinical studies, as well as learn about genomics and immunology in the breast cancer context. Research projects could lead to an advanced degree (PhD or Masters). The applicant will work with world-renowned Breast cancer clinicians and researchers within a research-oriented multidisciplinary team.

To provide high quality patient treatment and care, contribute to a research program and participate in education

  • Attendance to selected outpatient clinics and clinics in Day Ward
  • Completes all patient related documentation according to the Centre’s needs
  • Liaises and communicates with the multidisciplinary treating team
  • Contributes to team meetings and educational activities
  • Actively and regularly participates in peer review patient related activities
  • Participates in departmental research projects and audits
  • Works effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Close liaison with specialist members of the medical oncology Unit
  • Follows hospital policies and procedures

Essential qualifications

  • Medical Qualifications registerable by the Medical Board of Victoria
  • Completed at least two years of registrar level of training in medical oncology
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with medical staff and other disciplines
  • Previous clinical trial experience an advantage
