Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Co-Clinical Director – Emergency Medicine for the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) across the North West region. The role is shared with an existing Co-Clinical Director who has been in post for almost 2 years.
Fixed term, part time for Co-Director fraction position, with on call, working 38 hours per fortnight with additional FTE up to 76 hrs per fortnight total, as Staff Specialist in emergency medicine, commencing as soon as possible for a 3 year period.
The post requires the successful applicant to provide a high level of strategic leadership and direction, compassionate and mature leadership of multidisciplinary frontline staff, ensuring strong relationships are built and maintained and that emergency medicine services are effectively integrated within the hospital/service.
Essential qualifications
- Holds specialist registration
- Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway
- Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality.
- *Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
