Applications are now open for our Doctors in Training 2026 - Aeromedical Retrieval Registrar Positions in Tasmania.
Five Aeromedical Retrieval Registrar positions are on offer, staffing a 24-hour, 7 day a week medical retrieval service for critically ill patients requiring hospital transfer both intra and interstate on a call out basis.
When not actively retrieving, the Retrieval Registrar is based in and rostered to 76 hours + 10 hours of protected training time per fortnight in the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) Intensive Care Unit performing the duties of an ICU Registrar.
Retrieval Registrars may also be based in the LGH Department of Emergency Medicine - by negotiation.
Multiple fixed term full time, day worker with on call position working 76 hours with an additional 10 hours of paid protected training time per fortnight commencing from 2 February 2026 until 31 January 2027.
Negotiation of contracts of up to two years may be applicable.

- LGH is a Workplace Based Assessment Centre for applicants with Limited Registration working toward their General Registration with AHPRA
