Description
The Medical Oncology Department at the Royal Hobart Hospital is recruiting for 2 suitable Advanced Trainees for 2026, one accredited position and one non accredited position.
The positions would also suit trainees in palliative medicine & general medicine, potentially meeting accredited core training in Medical Oncology.
The Registrar is responsible for the day to day management of public inpatients and outpatients within the Royal Hobart Hospital and provides first on call cover for the Medical Oncology unit.
Required to do infrequent shifts covering the emergency met calls at the hospital. Salary $134,930 - $189,005 per annum.

Period of Employment
- fixed term
- full time day work*
- 76 hours per fortnight plus 10 hours protected training time (pro rata)
- starting 2 February 2026 until 1 February 2027 (24 months negotiable)
*part time hours may be considered
Essential qualifications
- General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).
