The Tasmanian Health Service are seeking Palliative Care registrars to work at Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH).
The Registrar is responsible for the day-to-day management of private and public inpatients/outpatients and provides afterhours emergency cover at the hospital as required.
Royal Hobart hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital and major referral centre. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions.

Salary
$134,930 - $189,005 per annum + superannuation and access to salary packaging Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022
Classification
Medical Practitioner Level 5-11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar)
Period of employment
Fixed term, full time day work, 76 hours per fortnight plus 10 hours protected training time (pro rata), commencing 2 February 2026 until 1 February 2027 (note 24 months negotiable).
Essential qualifications
- general or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia. ·
- current Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)
