Description
Under the guidance of Associate Professor Nadarajah Kangaharan, Co-Director of Medicine, your role involves enhancing the management and clinical care of referred geriatric patients.
This includes actively engaging in a specialised training program, offering clinical supervision to Junior Medical Officers and staff, and ensuring efficient patient care.
Rotating between Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals, you'll be required to assess and admit patients with frailty presentations / acute medical problems from the Emergency Department, provide specialist reports and participate in continuous medial education, professional development, peer review, research and quality improvement activities.
Essential qualifications
- appropriate registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- have successfully completed the requirements for admission to a fellowship of a recognised specialist training college
- have high-level interpersonal and communication skills
- demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients
