The Registrar works in the weeks when the usual Unit Registrar is on leave. The Registrar works with the consultants in rehabilitation medicine and in doing so ensures patient-centred, high quality, clinically appropriate care is delivered, at the right time and in the right place. The registrar will also supervise the HMO and the patient care provided by the HMO.
This is a casual position that would suit a Registrar who has completed their mandatory advanced training and wants to work intermittently while studying. The position would also suit a Registrar taking a 'gap year'. The position offers up to 24 weeks per year, working weeks when the full-time advanced trainee is on leave, covering Spinal, ABI or Amputee rehabilitation beds and clinics.
Essential qualifications
- PGY 3 or higher.
- Rehabilitation experience is preferred.
- Experience with the Victorian system and Cerner EMR is also preferred.
