Permanent Position 35 Hours a week for up to 14 Weeks Per Year Join Bass Coast Health as a Medical Consultant and lead the delivery of high-quality inpatient care in a regional hospital setting.

This role includes conducting daily ward rounds, supervising junior medical staff, and participating in the acute medical on-call roster.

You'll provide clinical leadership, contribute to multidisciplinary care planning, and support medical education and training. The position offers the opportunity to shape service delivery in a growing health service, with support for professional development and flexible work arrangements. AHPRA specialist registration in General Medicine or relevant subspecialty is required.

Essential qualifications

• MBBS degree (or equivalent) Post-graduate medical qualifications e.g. Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners, or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine
• Demonstrated clinical background and experience in hospital based internal medicine. Demonstrated organisational, interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and communication skills
• Experience in teaching and mentoring of Junior Medical Staff
• A Police Check that is current and within 12 months of the issue date
• Provision of valid Working with Children Check Provision of a NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Seasonal influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with Secretary, Department of Health Directions
