This role is a strategic leadership role within a comprehensive cancer service, encompassing medical oncology, haematology, radiation oncology, and palliative care.

You'll provide clinical governance, workforce leadership, and strategic direction across the service, while maintaining a negotiated clinical caseload; including oversight of Clinical Directors, engagement with research and education initiatives, and collaboration with JCU and national networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary cancer care delivery and service development
• Provide clinical governance and workforce planning
• Support education, training, and research initiatives
• Maintain clinical practice within negotiated scope

Essential qualifications

• Fellowship of a relevant specialist college and registration with AHPRA
• Demonstrated leadership in oncology or related disciplines
• Experience in clinical governance and service development
• Eligibility for Scope of Clinical Practice
