Description
Epworth Allergy Specialists provide expert clinical care for children with allergic disorders, offering both outpatient consultations and inpatient food and immunotherapy challenges.
The Allergy and Immunology Registrar is a 12-month fixed term position between Epworth Richmond (3 days per week) and the Royal Children’s Hospital (2 days per week) starting February 2026.
The role
- provide comprehensive training in both allergic and immunological disorders and is accredited for Core Clinical Training in Immunology & Allergy
- deliver high-quality outpatient and day medical care to children with allergic and immunological conditions, under the close supervision of experienced senior specialists.
Clinical duties include
- Allergy Immunology Outpatients (4-5 clinics per week) o 3 days will be spent at Epworth HealthCare o 2 days will spend at Royal Children's Hospital (RCH)
- Day Medical Unit (DMU) procedures at both Epworth HealthCare/RCH
- Clinical Care of Allergy - Immunology ward inpatients may also be required at RCH, under consultant supervision.
- Candidate may be required to perform consultations at RCH, under consultation supervision, referred to the Departments of Allergy and Immunology.
Essential qualifications
- Unconditional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- At least 3 years' experience in a formal Paediatric training program
- Successful completions of the FRACP Part 1 and clinical examinations or equivalent
- Previous experience in Paediatric Allergy/Immunology preferred (but not mandatory)
