Registrars and Senior House Officers are welcomed to all Queensland RACP-accredited hospitals. The Queensland Basic Physician Training (Adult Medicine) Network coordinates basic physician training throughout the state.
Training Coordination
In Queensland basic physician training is coordinated through the Queensland Basic Physician Training (Adult Medicine) Network. The network involves a personalised approach for each trainee’s journey through basic training and ensures access to training placements that fulfil RACP training requirements.
Hospital-Based Rotations
The network consists of five hospital-based rotations:
- Coastal rotation
- Far North rotation (Cairns)
- North Queensland Rotation (Townsville)
- Northside rotation
- Southside rotation
Educational Support
The network provides coordinated educational support for RACP basic trainees leading up to the FRACP examinations. This includes access to distributed learning opportunities and enhanced educational experiences across all hospital placements.
The network supports and encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.
