Exciting opportunities are currently available for experienced Registrars or Principal House Officers (Orthopaedics) to join the Department of Orthopaedics at the Bundaberg Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. 

The opportunity

  • participate in the provision, development and maintenance of an effective, efficient and equitable clinical service to the hospital patients in consultation with consultants, visiting specialists, nurses and allied health professionals.
  • contribute to the continual upgrading of medical education, and dissemination of knowledge to staff and patients.
  • the appointment will be to the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service for the provision of services to Bundaberg Hospital.
  • a Principal House Officer is a medical practitioner in the third or subsequent year of practical experience after eligibility for full registration as a medical practitioner.

Remuneration

You'll receive a competitive remuneration package valued up to $175,370 p.a., comprising:

  • salary between $129,583 - $150,240 p.a.
  • employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%)
  • annual leave loading (17.5%)
  • Vocational Training Subsidy (L4–L9)

We have several temporary full-time positions available. You'll work 76 hours per fortnight for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
