Alice Springs Hospital is seeking motivated doctors for accredited General Medical Registrar positions for the 2025 intake. Opportunities are available for 3, 6, or 12-month rotations.
We are also accredited for acute general medicine Advanced Training. ACCRM, GP, critical care trainees, and others are encouraged to apply. Minimum requirement is PGY3. The Department of Medicine consists of a mix of General Physicians and other Specialists, many with dual training.
We offer local services in cardiology, endocrinology, rheumatology, infectious diseases, palliative care, oncology, alcohol and other drugs, and a large renal unit, among other specialties. There are four General Medical teams, a busy Outpatient Department, and we provide outreach clinics to some of the most remote parts of Australia.

Essential qualifications
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Must have passed the RACP written and clinical exams or a recognised overseas equivalent, and be within 2 years of completing fellowship training.
- Previous experience as a Medical Registrar or PGY3+ is required, with a strong background in medical terms and willingness to step up to the Registrar role.
