Senior Registrar – Interventional Cardiology Fellow - Townsville

Description

Join a leading tertiary hospital for a 12-month full-time Fellowship in Adult Interventional Cardiology, including Structural Heart Intervention. Gain hands-on experience in PCI, procedural training, inpatient/outpatient care, and research. Work closely with expert cardiologists in the Cardiac Catheterisation Lab, contribute to service delivery, and support innovation and education.

Key duties

  • Perform diagnostic/interventional angiography
  • Deliver outpatient consultations and outreach
  • Supervise junior staff in Coronary Care/Cardiac Units
  • Lead tutorials, journal clubs and research
  • Support audits and quality improvement
  • Optimise catheter lab efficiency and patient flow

Benefits

  • Base salary: AUD $129,583 – $182,106 p.a.
  • 12.75% superannuation

Essential qualifications

  • Medical degree registrable in Australia 
  • 3+ years hospital experience 
  • FRACP advanced training (or equivalent) 
  • Willingness for on-call and weekend work
