• Position: Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist – Infectious Diseases

Join a dynamic team delivering expert infectious disease care in tropical North Queensland. This permanent full-time role offers a unique mix of clinical leadership, teaching, and research in a major tertiary hospital.

You’ll manage complex cases across inpatient and outpatient settings, lead antimicrobial stewardship, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise outcomes.

Teaching and supervision of registrars is central to the role, alongside involvement in safety, audit, and service planning. We welcome applications from experienced clinicians and new Fellows commencing practice in early 2026.

Requirements 

• FRACP (or equivalent) 
• Registrable as a specialist in Infectious Diseases with AHPRA 
• Eligibility by Feb 2026 considered
