We’re looking for a specialist to guide our team in providing exceptional inpatient and community care. Lead by example, collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, and ensure top-tier palliative services are delivered with compassion and expertise.
Key responsibilities
- provide inpatient community and consultative specialist Palliative Care Services
- offer professional leadership to staff
- actively contribute to the multidisciplinary care team
- ensure the organisation, management, and provision of specialist palliative care services at Rockhampton Hospital
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $528,432 p.a. is comprised of:
- a salary rate between $182,106 - $266,677 p.a.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading

Essential qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- staff specialist roles require registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Palliative Medicine with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA)
- enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies is mandatory
- willingness to participate in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- ability to communicate effectively and provide medical care, including emergency care, in a multidisciplinary environment
