Coffs Harbour Health Campus invites applications from suitably qualified Visiting Medical Officers specialising in Interventional Cardiology.
This is a key opportunity to lead and shape the delivery of interventional cardiology services in a dynamic, expanding regional centre, aligned with the Clinical Services Plan for the Network.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you’ll provide specialist cardiology and interventional cardiology services to patients across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings in a Level 5 hospital.
You’ll take part in the after-hours on-call roster and be actively involved in procedural service delivery, care planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
A strong focus on patient safety and evidence-based care is essential, along with participation in clinical governance, including risk reviews, audits, and ongoing service evaluation.
Supporting junior doctors and registrars through supervision and education is an important part of the role, as is engaging in clinical teaching for medical students and trainees.
You’ll also contribute to service planning and system improvement activities across MNCLHD.

Essential qualifications
To be considered, you must hold Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Cardiology with additional recognised training in Interventional Cardiology and be registered (or eligible) with the Medical Board of Australia.
You’ll bring proven experience in interventional practice within a high-level clinical setting, and a collaborative approach to working with hospital teams.
Strong communication skills, dedication to maintaining professional standards, and a commitment to continuous learning and safety will be key to success in this position.
