Join the Advanced Training Committee in General Paediatrics

Date published: Nov 27, 2024, 10:21 AM

Summary

The Advanced Training Committee (ATC) in General Paediatrics is looking for expressions of interest from first- or second-year Advanced Trainees to join the Committee.

Description

The College recognises that trainees, as future Fellows, play a crucial role in the training program. As part of this, trainees help shape its governance by representing their peers.

This is a great opportunity to share your perspective and facilitate communication between the ATC and Advanced Trainees.

As an Advanced Trainee Representative, you'll also gain insight into how the training committee makes decisions to support trainees' progress throughout their training.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • commitment to regular attendance at meetings of the Committee
  • providing trainee perspectives to the issues of concern
  • representing trainees’ interests
  • advocating on behalf of trainees

Meetings are held 10 times per year, with 2 face to face meetings usually occurring in March and November.

Members are appointed to the ATC for a 3-year term and can be renewed for a further term or until the Advanced Trainee becomes eligible for Fellowship.
