The Advanced Training Committee (ATC) in Infectious Diseases is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Appointed Member positions on the ATC.

Description

The Advanced Training Committee (ATC) in Infectious Diseases oversees the Advanced Training program in Infectious Diseases in the Adult Medicine Division.

The Committee is currently seeking expressions of interest from Infectious Diseases Fellows who are interested in joining the ATC.

Fellows who are trained in both Infectious Diseases and Microbiology are strongly encouraged to apply, as well as those interested in developing educational resources.

Responsibilities
  • monitoring and reviewing training program requirements and curricula in consultation with relevant stakeholders and recommending changes
  • monitoring and assessing individual trainee progress in Infectious Diseases including assessing various types of applications such as training applications and applications for Recognition of Prior Learning
  • adjusting training requirements for individuals based on College policies and procedures
  • reviewing the Advanced Training Research Project
  • reviewing Advanced Training settings in Infectious Diseases including conducting site accreditation visits
  • meetings are held 4 times a year— 3 are online, and 1 in-person meeting takes place in November. The remaining meetings will be held online.

Members are appointed to the ATC for 3 years. If they are reappointed, their terms will be 2 years each, with a maximum total of 6 years.
