Vacant positions:
The AMD is a Division of the RACP that represents and connects Adult Medicine Fellows and trainees in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
The AMD Council has responsibility for providing leadership and supportive to Fellows of the Division in their continuing professional development and, where appropriate, in the Adult Medicine education program for trainees. Read the Adult Medicine Division By-law (PDF)
The purpose of the Basic Trainee and Advanced Trainee representative is to assist the Division President in guiding the governance framework and direction of the Division in a mutually co-operative and consultative atmosphere.
Members are appointed for an initial 3-year term. Roles will start immediately following confirmation of nomination by the College Trainees’ Committee and appointment by the AMD Council.
During this term, there will be 2 AMD Council meetings per year (1 virtual and 1 face-to-face). The full-day face-to-face meeting will be held on Thursday, 7 August 2025, in Sydney.
Meeting dates for 2026 have not yet been confirmed (the first AMD Council meeting is usually held in March or April).
Should the member also be appointed to the Adult Medicine Division Executive Committee (AMDEX), 5 virtual meetings will be held throughout the year.
