Description

The NSW/ACT Trainees' Committee advocates for physician trainees in NSW and ACT. It focuses on recruitment, training, assessment, supervision, support, and secondments.

Trainees on the committee also represent other trainees on the NSW/ACT Regional Committee and may be appointed to other College committees.

Committee purpose
  • support the needs of NSW/ACT trainees through advocacy and policy input
  • facilitate and promote educational opportunities for trainees
  • advocate on training matters within local hospitals and clinical settings
Key responsibilities
  • attend NSW/ACT Trainees' Committee meetings
  • advocate on behalf of trainees on education, training, continuing professional development, supervision, and assessment
  • support the College's work and activities in NSW and ACT
  • help trainees with their training and careers in NSW and ACT
