Expressions of interest are sought from Aotearoa NZ Fellows and trainees to be part of the Regional, Rural and Remote (RRR) Aotearoa New Zealand Working Group.

Description

The Regional and Rural Physician Aotearoa New Zealand Working Group (RRRPANZWG) will create a strategy to help achieve the College Council’s goal of better health outcomes for people in regional, rural, and remote areas of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Membership includes:
  • Representatives for physicians working in regional, rural, and remote parts of Aotearoa
  • Māori Health Committee representative (or a nominated representative)
  • Aotearoa New Zealand Trainees’ Committee representative (or a nominated representative)
  • Consumer representative
  • Chair

The working group will report to the Aotearoa New Zealand Committee and deliver the plan by the end of Quarter 3, 2025 (October).

There will be an in-person workshop in Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington in June to start the work. After that, the group will meet via video calls as needed until the end of October.
