As a Senior Medical Practitioner in General Medicine at Kalgoorlie Health Campus, you'll play a central role in delivering high-quality care to patients across the Goldfields region.
Working as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you'll provide comprehensive assessment and management of inpatients, outpatients, and emergency presentations under the guidance of Consultant Physicians.
With a population of 52,348, the Goldfields region faces distinctive healthcare challenges, with 13% of the population identifying as Aboriginal. Many patients, often from low socio-economic backgrounds, present with complex chronic conditions and cancer diagnoses. In this role, your ability to provide culturally sensitive, patient centred care will be crucial in supporting better health outcomes for this diverse community.
The position also offers the opportunity to broaden your scope of practice through outreach to other sites such as Esperance Hospital, including the use of Telehealth to support colleagues and patients in more remote locations. You'll contribute to the education, training, and supervision of junior doctors, helping to build local medical workforce capacity and strengthen the standard of care across the region.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real and lasting impact on regional health while working within an engaged and collaborative team in one of Western Australia’s most unique and historic settings.
