Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland. Specialist Medical Services include Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Palliative Care, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Intensive Care and Anaesthesia.
About the role
The Department of Medicine provides Internal medicine services for the Rockhampton Hospital and surrounding health service including Gladstone, Emerald and Biloela. The Department has an allocation of 32 medical beds, 8 “48 hour” beds, 5 coronary care beds, 9 palliative care beds (including chemotherapy) and outpatient clinics weekly.
About you
Assist the Director of Medicine, with the organisation, management and provision of Specialist General Medicine Services and provide professional leadership to medical staff within the department, and to be an active contributor to the multidisciplinary patient care team.

Total remuneration value of up to $543,581 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary rate between $215,078 - $271,430 p.a. (L18-L24, L25-L27))
