Expressions of interest are open for an Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine (AChAM) representative to join the editorial board of the Internal Medicine Journal (IMJ).

Description

The Internal Medicine Journal, published by the RACP, has 32 specialty editors who report to the editor-in-chief, Dr Paul Bridgman, FRACP, and an editorial ombudsman on the editorial board.   

Key responsibilities
  • skill in the art of writing, editing, and critical assessment.
  • timely assessment and selection of appropriate reviewers for submissions.
  • arbitration of suitability for publication of submissions.
  • soliciting high-profile reviews and timely submissions.
  • advising on editorial policy considerations.
  • providing the Editor-in-Chief with annual summary reports.
  • familiarity with the electronic peer review program (ScholarOne).
  • attending the annual IMJ Editorial Board meeting.

Suitable applicants should have a strong publication record in the field of Addiction Medicine.
