In accordance with our Gender Equity in Medicine and Membership Diversity and Inclusion principles, we actively promote and encourage diverse representation in all College activities.
The accreditation of training settings for Paediatrics & Child Health Basic Training is essential to ensuring high quality training environments for future Physicians.
This is your chance to contribute to discussions and the decision-making regarding the accreditation of Training Providers (settings) and the Paediatrics & Child Health Basic Training Program.
The RACP, in collaboration with the Paediatrics & Child Health Basic Training Committee, oversees accreditation to ensure that all training occurs within approved settings. This process is managed by the Paediatrics & Child Health Division Accreditation Subcommittee.
* The meetings usually run for approximately 5 hours, with the first 2 hours dedicated to joint accreditation decisions with the Adult Internal Medicine.
Members (including Trainee Representatives) are appointed for an initial 3-year term with the option to renew for a further 3-year term.
The Trainee Representative role is voluntary. To support and thank you for your contributions towards accreditation, you'll receive CPD points for completed activities.
All relevant travel, meals and accommodation costs for attending face-to-face Subcommittee meetings are covered by the College in accordance with the RACP Travel Policy and Guidelines (PDF).
