Description

The AFOEM Terms of Reference guide the AFOEM Council’s operations, responsibilities, and functions. The AFOEM Council promotes occupational and environmental medicine in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand and provide opportunities for continuous professional development (CPD) for Faculty Fellows.

The purpose of the role of the Trainee is to provide direction and support to the Australasian Faculty of Environmental and Occupational Medicine (AFOEM) President and council.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Attend AFOEM Council meetings.
  • Assist in aligning the AFOEM strategic and business plans to the Strategic Plan of the RACP
  • Assist in ensuring that all sub-committees and all working groups of the AFOEM work productively and harmoniously.
  • Ensure good governance of the AFOEM.
  • Ensure timely responses to requests for comment or report from the AFOEM Council; Faculty Training Committee and other AFOEM Committees.
  • Adhere to the RACP’s policies, including prevention of discrimination and harassment.

The term for this casual vacancy will begin once confirmed and end at the RACP AGM in May 2026, following the College election cycle.
