The Aotearoa New Zealand Grants Advisory Committee (Aotearoa NZGAC) fulfills an important role in ensuring Fellows and trainees of the College in Aotearoa New Zealand are supported in their early research careers and to undertake further educational development.
Reporting to the Aotearoa New Zealand Committee, the Aotearoa NZGAC is responsible for the suite of awards and grants offered annually through the RACP Foundation to College members in Aotearoa New Zealand exclusively.
The Committee comprises no less than 5 members to ensure diversity in specialty and gender representation, and also representation from the geographical regions within Health NZ – Te Whatu Ora.
There are currently 2 x positions on the Committee which are in urgent need of being filled.

The members of the Aotearoa NZGAC are primarily responsible for the following:
The members of the Aotearoa NZGAC meet by teleconference in September each year to discuss the review of applications and approve the awards to be offered in the following year.
Members also respond to issues via email on an ad hoc basis, when required and may be asked to assist with the review of applications across the Award categories, particularly the Research Entry Scholarships.
