Description

Kaupapa o te Komiti | Purpose of the Committee

The Aotearoa NZ AMDEC oversees:

  • implementation of the College Education Policy and College’s Strategic Direction in relation to education in the Division in Aotearoa New Zealand
  • accreditation for Training Settings and the Basic Training programs
  • monitors training program requirements and curricula
  • advises the CEC on education policy.

Takohanga | Responsibilities

The Committee meets up to 6 times a year, 1 may be kanohi ki te kanohi | face-to-face in Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington. Travel costs are covered in accordance with the RACP Travel Policy. The remainder of the meetings, up to 5 would be via Zui | Zoom.

Most of the mahi will occur during scheduled hui. There is likely to be up to 2 hours of pre-reading required before kanohi ki te kanohi hui, and 1 hour prior to hui-ā-ataata | zoom. Members may be asked to respond to communication out of session.

Paearu Mātauranga, Paearu Wheako | Knowledge and experience criteria
  • be a RACP Member of mātai rata pakeke | Adult Medicine, who resides in Aotearoa NZ
  • high level communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to build positive partnerships.
  • computer literate with access to necessary technology
  • ability and capacity to prepare appropriately and diligently for participation in RACP activities.
