Description

There's currently 1 Fellow position vacant on the CJCT in the role of Appointed Member.

One of the main roles of the CJCT in Haematology is to assist and assess individual trainee progress in Haematology in accordance with both Colleges’ policies and procedures

This is a great opportunity for Fellows who are willing to support current Haematology Advanced Trainees and their respective training programs.

Key responsibilities

The Committee oversees Advanced Training in both Clinical Haematology and Joint Laboratory Haematology. Responsibilities for the role include:

  • monitor training of, and provide support to, supervisors in Haematology
  • accredit Advanced Training sites or programs in Haematology
  • assess recognition of prior learning
  • modify individual training requirements, as appropriate, in accordance with College policies and procedures
  • assess and provide advice on specialist recognition in Haematology for Fellows who haven't completed the Haematology Advanced Training programs

Meetings are held 4 times per year with 1 face to face meeting (usually held in November) and up to 3 video conferences a year.

Members are appointed to the CJCT for a 3-year term and can be renewed for a further 3-year term.
