Summary

The Committee for Joint College Training (CJCT) in Nuclear Medicine is seeking Expressions of Interest from RACP and/or RANZCR Nuclear Medicine Fellows to join the Committee as an Appointment Member.

Description

There are currently 2 x FRACP and/or FRANZCR positions on the Training Committee in the role of an Appointed Member.

One of the main roles of the CJCT is to monitor and assess individual trainee progress in Nuclear Medicine for Australasia.

Other key responsibilities of the Training Committee include but are not limited to:

  • monitor and assess individual trainee progress in Nuclear Medicine
  • confirm completion of training requirements to progress to Fellowship
  • monitor training of, and provide support to, supervisors in Nuclear Medicine
  • accredit Advanced Training sites or programs in Nuclear Medicine in conjunction with the relevant Specialty Society
  • assess recognition of prior learning
  • monitor and review training program requirements, assessment and curricula in Nuclear Medicine in consultation with the relevant Specialty Society and other stakeholders, and recommend changes to the College Education Committee, via the Adult Medicine Division Education Committee
  • advise on assessment and resource content
  • advise on matters relating to Overseas Trained Physicians, as requested
  • provide advice on specialty specific CPD and other educational resources for members, as appropriate
  • modify training requirements for individual trainees, as appropriate, in accordance with College policies and procedures

The CJCT typically meets twice a year via Videoconference. The term of office is for 3 years.
