There is currently 1 Fellow position vacant. This is a great opportunity for Fellows who are committed to supporting current CCH Advanced Trainees and the training program.

One of the main roles of the Advanced Training Committee (ATC) in Community Child Health (CCH) is to monitor and assess trainee progress across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

In this role, you’ll help shape the physicians of the future and make a meaningful contribution to the direction, workforce, and culture of CCH in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Key responsibilities
  • be involved in reviewing and monitoring of the training program requirements, assessment and curricula in consultation with the relevant Specialty Societies and other stakeholders
  • recommend changes to the College Education Committee, via the Paediatrics Division Education Committee
  • monitor training of, and provide support to, supervisors in CCH
  • accredit Advanced Training sites or programs in CCH
  • assess recognition of prior learning
  • advise on matters relating to Overseas Trained Physicians, as requested
  • modify individual training requirements, as appropriate, in accordance with   College policies and procedures
  • assess and provide advice on specialist recognition in CCH for Fellows in the Paediatric and Child Health Division who have not completed the CCH Advanced Training program 

The ATC meets 4 times a year, including at least 1 face-to-face meeting in Sydney.

Members are appointed for an initial 3-year term, which may be renewed once. The maximum term of service is 6 years.
