The AFPHM (FAC) plays a key role in supporting trainee assessment and recommending policy and program changes to the Faculty Education Committee and the College Education Committee.

Key responsibilities

• developing and evaluating a suite of formative and summative assessment tasks and activities within the Faculty
• overseeing the coordination of examination and assessment items and processes
• engagement in continuous quality improvement of all assessments

Applicants must have unconditional AHPRA or MCNZ registration as a Public Health Medicine Physician (AFPHM).

The Committee meets 5 times a year via videoconference and each member is awarded CPD points for their time in the meetings. Members are appointed for 3 years, with the option to serve up to 6 years.
