Summary

The AFRM Faculty Assessment Committee (FAC) seeks a Rehabilitation Fellow to be the External Training Module 6 Marker.

Description

The FAC supervises the coordination, development, preparation and measurement of exams and assessments and standardises examiners and assessors and oversees examining panels.

Markers report to a Coordinator, who reports to the Chair of the FAC. The purpose of this role is to mark submissions for External Training Module 6: Behavioural Sciences, in accordance with AFRM marking outcomes and the requirements of the Advanced Training program.

Essential attributes
  • be a Fellow of the AFRM
  • demonstrated experience in medical education at postgraduate level
  • demonstrated understanding of the tertiary education environment
  • demonstrated experience in marking to criteria
  • ability to collaborate with colleagues to maintain the standards of assessments
  • knowledge of formative and summative assessment methodologies
Key responsibilities
  • ensure Module 6 assessments are marked and returned to the Education Office within 6 weeks, to be recorded in the database and communicated to trainees
  • mark project submissions as part of the Recognition of Prior Learning process
  • advocate for modern educational principles in learning and assessment for the trainees of the Faculty
