More than 1,100 Members gathered to discuss the far-reaching ramifications of disruption in health care at RACP Congress 2018 in Sydney from Monday to Wednesday this week.

No topic was off limits and lively discussions were had about topics including:

  • supporting development of positive mental health in doctors and patients
  • how to respond to medically unexplained symptoms
  • the need for more research on medicinal cannabis
  • what artificial intelligence can and can’t do
  • issues, policy and advocacy surrounding medical assistance in dying
  • the role of rehabilitation medicine in shifting definitions of health and illness
  • clinical variation and the use of data to drive decision making
