Fee Initiative

Fee Initiative for trainees who identify as Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander peoples, Māori and Pacific peoples.


Overview

The Fee Initiative is for eligible trainees who identify as:

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • Māori who aren't directly employed by District Health Boards in Aotearoa New Zealand
  • Pacific peoples who aren't directly employed by District Health Boards in Aotearoa New Zealand

Once participation in the Initiative is confirmed, annual training fees and exam registration fees will be waived subject to satisfactory training progression.

Eligibility criteria

To apply, a College trainee needs to fulfil the following criteria:

  1. Is registered as a Basic or Advanced Trainee with the College.
  2. Identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, Māori or Pacific person and can show proof of Indigeneity and/or ethnicity as part of the application process.
  3. For College trainees in Aotearoa New Zealand, isn't directly employed by a District Health Board (DHB).
  4. Completes the Fee Initiative application form
