The WorkSafe Victoria, TAC, and Wrongs Act legislation require this accreditation of Registered Medical Practitioners performing impairment assessments using American Medical Association Guides (AMA4 Guides). These assessments offer diversified work opportunities and alternative income streams for physicians.

The Impairment Assessment Training includes assessment criteria approved by the Minister to ensure a satisfactory standard of achievement by individual practitioners. This self-paced online course is intended for physicians seeking accreditation to undertake or interpret permanent impairment assessments in Victoria.

This module covers the evaluation criteria set in the prescribed Guidelines for assessing Occupational Infectious Diseases. The module includes the methodology of the prescribed Guidelines for assessing Occupational Infectious Diseases and the fact that these Guidelines do not apply for some but not all compensation jurisdictions.
