This curated collection of online mini courses is designed to extend learners' communication in clinical practice.The courses combined take 3 hours to complete.

  1. An Introduction to Conversation
    This course is designed to provide learners with a more comprehensive understanding of how conversations work in practice so that they can draw on evidence from studies of real interactions to critically reflect on their own communication. The course consists of recorded short talks along with reflection and quiz questions.
  2. Communication in Healthcare Consultations
    This course is designed to provide learners with insights into what goes on behind the curtain in consultations so that they can become more effective communicators. Understanding how and why people make particular communication choices can help in identifying personal strategies for making consultations more effective and efficient. Based on evidence from research on real consultations, this course consists of recorded short talks along with reflection and quiz questions.
  3. Reflection for Improving Communication
    This course is designed to provide learners with practical strategies for improving communication in practice. This course consists of recorded short talks and a practice reflection activity for which learners receive personalised feedback.
