RACP meeting with ACNC

The Royal Australasian College of Physicians has been formally notified that it is being investigated by The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).

The ACNC is Australia’s national regulator of charities and not-for-profits.

We wish to reassure our trainees and Fellows that the College’s annual program of written and clinical examinations, training and inductions to Fellowship will continue as normal while this investigation is underway.

Hospitals and training settings workforce planning and site accreditation timetables will also not be affected.

After discussions with the ACNC today, the Board has committed to enter into a voluntary compliance agreement with the Commission in relation to improvement of Board culture and governance.

The College will keep members, staff and other stakeholders informed.
