RACP physicians and paediatricians across Australia today paid tribute to Dr Michael Yung, FRACP, long serving and senior clinician at the Adelaide Women and Children’s paediatric Intensive Care Unit who passed away yesterday.

“As a small and tightly knit community of professionals, many of us knew Michael. He was a valued practitioner, leader, and advisor to decision makers at highest levels across our sector,” said Dr Jacqueline Small, President of the RACP, and herself a paediatrician.

“The esteem in which Michael is held is reflected in the many acknowledgements today of his life and achievements. We’re all struggling to process this terrible event.

“We will miss Michael greatly, and offer our sincere condolences to his family, friends and many colleagues.”
