RACP President pays tribute to outgoing CEO

Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) President, Associate Professor Mark Lane today thanks outgoing CEO Linda Smith for her contribution to the College over the past seven years.

At an extraordinary meeting yesterday, the newly elected RACP Board resolved to give notice under Ms Smith’s contract, with her departure effective 29 June 2018.

“Linda has been a wonderful servant of the College and has worked tirelessly to modernise its operations,” Associate Professor Lane said.

“After three and a half years at the helm, the College is larger, stronger and in better financial shape than when she entered the role.

“I personally wish to thank her for her commitment to our College and for her services as CEO to three Presidents.”

Dr Mary-Ellen Miller, a former College CEO, has been appointed as interim CEO for a five-week period while recruitment is underway.
