Basic Training progress reports

This webpage will be retired in the coming weeks. In the future, all work-based learning and assessment information and resources will be found in your training handbook.

Progress Reports provide comprehensive, timely and constructive feedback to Basic Trainees by facilitating regular and meaningful communication between supervisors, the Director of Physician Education (DPE) and trainees. Supervisors complete Progress Reports at regular intervals throughout Basic Training. 

A successful Progress Report will:

  • Provide regular feedback to trainees
  • Identify Trainees in difficulty and provide timely support
  • Provide information to the College on a trainee’s training program

Note: The Ward/Service Report is available in hard copy format only (not completed via the BT Portal). NSW Trainees can use the HETI End of Term Report instead of the Ward/Service Report (if applicable).
