Take advantage of online Supervisor support

Engaging online courses to support supervisors when overcoming challenges, handling feedback and teaching on the run are being offered throughout 2019.
The 2019 dates for the five-week long courses are now available, making it easier for Supervisors to plan ahead and complete courses at convenient times.
Delivered as part of the Supervisor Professional Development Program (SPDP), the courses are compulsory for Fellows who supervise trainees.
Fellows who complete the courses can claim Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits and they will also receive a certificate of completion.

Practical Skills for Supervisors course details
This course covers important topic areas including setting the culture for learning, giving feedback and feedback in challenging situations. Its structure is below.

This course offers a range of teaching strategies to manage and overcome challenges supervisors face in complex healthcare settings. Its structure is below.

SPDP2: Teaching & Learning in Healthcare runs twice in 2019, from:

Work-based Learning and Assessment course details
This course covers a range of topics like goal setting and learning tools, how to provide effective feedback and make evidence-based judgements in healthcare settings. Its structure is below.
